Since Bill 96 encroaches on constitutional and human rights with respect to rights to life, liberty and security; equality; healthcare services; government services; education; employment as well as freedoms of expression and mobility, and freedom from undue state interference, the application has been made for a stay of further implementation.
Our Strategy
Our strategy will be to argue that Quebec exceeds its constitutional authority: Bill 96:

creates two classes of Canadian citizens who have different rights and obligations; and
-
overturns the legal status of English in Quebec since the 18th century.
Our Scope
Our scope shall be comprehensive and address the many serious issues not addressed in other Bill 96 litigations in effect. Matters we shall address include, but are not limited to:
-
The supreme collective right to the French identify
-
Private or personal communication
-
Official documentation
-
Post-Secondary education
-
